What AARO publishes
The All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office publishes annual UAP reports, historical reviews, case-resolution material, reporting trends, hearing testimony, and records released through current transparency initiatives. Annual reports summarize a reporting period; the 2026 PURSUE file batches are source releases, not new annual assessments.
FY2024 report in context
The latest confirmed public consolidated annual report is the FY2024 report released November 14, 2024, with information through June 1, 2024. It received 757 reports: 485 from the reporting period and 272 older incidents submitted later. The report says 392 came from FAA records accumulated since 2021.
During the reporting period AARO resolved 118 cases as ordinary objects such as balloons, birds, and unmanned aircraft. Another 174 had completed review by publication and were attributed to balloons, birds, UAS, satellites, or aircraft. Many remaining cases lacked timely, actionable sensor data.
How to read the numbers
“Received,” “resolved,” and “unresolved” describe different stages. Counts can change as older events arrive and reviews close. A distribution of closed cases cannot be applied to every report, and an unresolved case is not automatically anomalous.
What this record does not prove
AARO's FY2024 report says it found no evidence of extraterrestrial beings, activity, or technology. That is the office's conclusion about the information it reviewed, not a universal claim about life elsewhere. Likewise, “unresolved” often reflects insufficient data rather than evidence of extraordinary performance.
