Claim and source separation
Pages distinguish what a witness reported, what a document records, what an agency concluded, and what later analysts infer. Authentication of a file does not authenticate every claim inside it. Political statements, hearing testimony, press coverage, and analytical findings retain their original evidence type.
Attribution and conflicts
Specific factual claims should link to the closest available primary source. When source metadata conflicts, both labels are shown with a provenance note. We do not silently merge different incidents or describe proposed legislation as enacted law.
Corrections
Substantive corrections should change the affected text, update the page's dateModified, and preserve a plain-language note when the correction changes the identity, date, location, or evidentiary meaning of a record. The recovered repository does not contain a verified public mailbox, so this page does not publish an unverified personal address. A verified correction channel should be added before inviting private submissions.
Privacy and analytics
Most recovered pages load Google Analytics using measurement ID G-JJT47P4V6K. Google may receive technical and usage information under its own policies. UFOFiles.app does not require an account and the recovered static site does not provide a first-party submission form. External agency, archive, video, and document links are governed by their destination sites.
Advertising and sponsorship
The opaque third-party advertising script found in the recovered deployment was removed from every page because its ownership, behavior, and privacy terms could not be verified. Future sponsorship must be labeled, reviewable, and must not influence evidence ratings or editorial conclusions.
Review status
Pages state their last material source review where practical. Historical event dates are not used as article publication dates, and newer source releases do not retroactively validate older claims.
